What Do I say/do if i go to Planned Parenthood to get birth control pills? it would be my first time. Also, once i start getting them, could my boyfriend pick them up for me since i live 30 minutes away and it would be hard for me to go into town and get them?

You will have to get them, he cannot pick them up for you. I tried at my planned parenthood, maybe they would let you at yours.... Call them up and tell them that you would like to be on birth control, they will set up an appointment with you. Or you can do a walk in. They will explain all the different kinds and suggest which one is right for you. They are nice people don't be nervous..

I remember when I went down there, it's kindof intimidating, but i promise you that they want you to get on birthcontrol waaaayy more than they want you coming in there to get an abortion!!

Just walk in and tell them that you want to get started on birth control and would like to talk to someone about the different options. They'll have you fill out some paperwork (just saying if you're allergic to anything, and getting your personal information) I'm pretty sure that they ask for another person's phone number incase anything goes wrong (or something, like an emergency contact) so if you have a friend, sister, or i guess your boyfriend that you trust, put their number down (I put my sister in law's name down)

Once you get it all filled out, they'll take you back and talk to you about your options and the different side affects that go along with each option. Once you figure out what you want, they'll give you your pills (or whatever you choose) and you'll pay for them. Planned parenthood is doing a thing now where you can get an entire years supply of the pills all at once, assuming you can pay for them. If you have the money, you could do this so you don't have to worry about being so far away.

Your boyfriend won't be able to pick them up for you, because they have no way of telling if the pills will actually get to YOU or not. But you can get a few month's supply at a time (i usually get two months or so)

Anyway, I hope I helped some. I know it's kindof embarrassing, but they are there to help you out. They aren't going to turn you away or anything like that.
