Just multiply each term by 1/2 each time.
The terms are 8,4,2,1, 1/2 and 1/4.
The answer is 1/4.
Another way: The nth term of a geometric sequence
with multiplier r is ar^(n-1).
Where a is the first term.
So in your case r = 1/2 and n = 6, so S_6 = 8*(1/2)^5=
8/32 = 1/4.
