Is it the type of reeds that cause this or is it me?

I'm refering to a tenor saxophone mouthpiece by trade name. the mouthpiece was manufactured by Bobby Dukoff

Sometimes a "lighter" ligature maybe required. Sometimes too much pressure can cause so much facial changes that it actually forces/restricts the flow of air thus causing the squeaking. Try a very soft approach as far as pressure and then be aware of what happens when you increase pressure, you may be able to solve this the more familiar you are with the instrument. Another though, is the reed new or old?

for starters, could you explain what Dukoff D6 is?

we seem to be clueless... does this have to do with word & wordplay??? hmm...
