Personaly, I think that 1408 is the best film to come out this summer so far. The acting was good, the story was good, and I was not bored for a second. It may have come in second at the box office this week, but it's the first summer movie that I would pay to see a second time. Anyone else?

Definitely the best movie of the summer! Definitely!

Oh, yes, I loved this movie and am telling everyone "You MUST see 1408 immediately! Don't wait for the DVD! You need to see this on the big screen first and then, yeah, buy the DVD when it comes out because you're going to want to see this again and again!"

I love scary movies and I loved it. It was unpredictable, suspenseful and very original. I hadn't read the story but I hear even people who read the Stephen King story it was based on were in suspense waiting to see how much Hollywood changed the written story.

A great date film, too. However, I recommend that guys see it ALONE first then, when they take the girlfriend, it's the 2nd time they've seen it so the guy can seem all brave and cool when the scary stuff is going on.

I really like the movie. It's not gory. Some movies depend on blood and guts and gore to get an emotional reaction from the audience. No, not 1408! It scared you with the unknown, the wondering what would happen next but it wasn't gross. But, definitely, a psychological thriller. I was gasping at parts! I mean, you could almost see people in the audience leaning forward in their seats eager to see what was going to happen next!

John Cusack and Samuel L.Jackson gave excellent performances! And the things that happened, well, at first you're wondering if it's coincidence or truly something evil then things escalate and you're just breathless wondering what's coming next.

I loved it and am recommending it to everyone. One of the best scary movies that I've ever seen!

I wouldn't see it a second time, but it was interesting.. I believe that the only reason it came in second at the box office was because everyone expected Evan Almighty to be a hit off of Bruce Almighty.. and in reality it didn't compare.. Evan Almighty was a bit weak.

I liked the movie.. it kept people guessing.. and some parts leave you wondering and thinking about what's going to happen next. I must say though I cannot wait to see Ratatoille, seems like it's going to be quite a hit :O)

1408 - 4 out of 5 stars :O)

not the best film of the summer for me but i did like it. i especially liked the scene with Cusack and Jackson going back and forth in the office.

the reason why i think it will do well? it's scary. and many of us love to be scared. and it's not graphically done which makes it even better.

i went to see it on a Saturday night and the movie was full of people dating and teens. we all loved to jump and scream at the right moments. i had fingernail marks in my arm from my GF for hours after seeing the film and i think there were other guys and gals who were also marked by the time the film was over (no, i don't mean by my GF).

It was the most dramatic and unique because all the other films are just sequals..Something New is always better
