longd151515.. actually besides trading players
you can release them, the sign a contract to play
and the team can release them (same as firing
them). If it was not for the collective bargaining
agreement, and the salary restriction alot of
teams would fire the players, ie void their
contract .

yea, cuz that he's complaining! Trade his ***. you dont want a player like him no matter how good he is. The Eagles traded TO in football because he was being a wise *** and TO was a great football player!

This is really bad. Ripping on your team mates is childish behavior and extremely poor sportsmanship. He has acted very selfish and has no reason to act the way he has been. Look at Kevin Garnett. KG is so loyal to his team and his team will probably never win the big one. Yet he plays so hard and is such a great player and his team mates, the fans, and everybody respect him for his kindness and great character. I think they should just trade Kobe and get the most they can possibly get out of him. I have no more respect for Kobe other than he is still a talented player even though he uses it selfishly which I don't like. He is so talented but a menace to his own team, the whole Lakers organization and all sports.

Well, there are two sides to this.

On the good side of Kobe, he is a great basketball player and is probably the best scorer in the NBA. He is immensely popular, and sells tickets, puts fans in the arena, and brings general publicity and creates income for the Los Angeles Lakers franchise, regardless of the team's record.

Unfortunately, he is an unstable person and probably detriments the team spirit, is now unliked by his fellow players, and he has most likely smashed chemistry with numerous people in the organization. Also, his numerous pleas to place talent around him remind you of the fact that he cannot win a title without a better player, like Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq won 3 titles with Bryant, but as soon as he left, the Lakers became a non-contender.

There's my take on both sides of the story.

I hate when people say this.
How about looking at some more current stats like some from 2006 not 2000:
Kobe: 31.6 ppg, 5.7 rbpg, 5.4 apg, 77 gp
Shaq: 17.3 ppg, 7.4 rbpg, 2 apg, 40 gp
One last thing, don't just show some of the few things Kobe did wrong look at some of his accomplishments. And Kobe isn't the only one that gets blocked. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWo-VA1mf6Y

Kobe needs to be traded to another team. He has had his best days with the lakers. Its time for him to move on with his life. Kobe needs a new beginning, new team, new city, new house, and a new outlook on life. That's the way life is sometimes. a man needs to know within himself when its time to move on.

Kobe should be banned from the league! With the money he makes and the selfish way he plays- he represents everything that's wrong with the NBA today!!!

i think that they should because hes not a team player. if they trade him, they could get many good team players and have a shot at another NBA title.
