be able to use you're real identity instead of the aliases we all use or are you contented with the way it is. If I could do it I would in a heartbeat but the judgement of others is too harsh on the people whom I love.

Damn right i would, just so peeps who i IM know me by the name that comes up rather than this one, also i wish i did use my real id, cos i feel such a fake using an alias.

I prefer the alias. I get to answer without consequence. People can like or dislike my answers. I like that you don't know me. It feels a little like James Bond. Mystery keeps things interesting.

Nowadays it's too sketchy to be yourself online. It's unfortunate I think.
Creating one alter ego who is consistent (and who is basically you deep down) that you use all over the web is the closest and safest way that someone can be who they really are online.
