They may as well try it they done everything else to hoodwink all of the Christians the past two elections. Then lie like a dog trotting to them. IE weapons of mass destruction, quail hunting and swift river boat captains for the truth when there was never such a thing. I know i was in the navy from start to finish during the Viet Nam war. Would you let your self be fished in by something as thin as this.

At first I really didn't care one way or another, but after hearing various theists and or Christians point to the fact that this phrase is on our money as "proof" that America is a "Christian Nation", I am starting to lean the other way. I have also heard it said, that atheists should not be allowed to use money since it has God's name on it. So now that I see the sense of entitlement that phrase is creating among some Christians, I would mind seeing that phrase phased out, and bring back our ORIGINAL motto "E pluribus unum".

In today's schizophrenic world, there's no way to know the answer to this question without having a nationwide vote on the question itself. Too many Americans, especially politicians, are more concerned with being "politically correct" than they are with preserving our American heritage, and ultimately America itself. God was pervasive throughout the formation of our government, and we never lost a war. Then, when we began to listen to the foolish among us who thought religious freedom meant elimination of God, He began to withdraw His protection. Can anyone see a problem with that? Maybe we should go back and look at our recent history since the 50's and the answer to our problems should be clear to all. Thanks, Viet Nam era! Frankly, I think Ameraicans are more in tune with this than are our politicians. So YES, I do THINK they would get more votes. I certainly pray that I'm right.

Absolutely not, it would be nearly impossible. Seeing as how credit card companies are private, and not owned like the government, the government is hard pressed to control what does and doesn't appear on their merchandise.

Why would they need legislation about that? If some company wanted to do it, they could (they might be already). You can get whatever you want on a credit card. My credit card has kittens in a basket on it!

then the 21% interest would be sanctioned by God to fill the coffers of the companies that support them with campaign contributions

No. Even though they're very liberal. The idea of telling private enterprise what they must do is a bit too Democrat for them.

Expect to see this phrase replaced by "In the State We Trust." Coming soon to a re-education camp near you...

Nope, I don't believe there is god so I don't want it on my cards. I know it's already on money but I can deal with that.
