My most favorite seris is the Laundry family seris. In this one there is one incident of incest but I call it rape myself. Sadly Paul loses his marbles and kills himself. But Ruby does get her love interest in then end.

I have read many books by her. Have you read Flowers in the Attic? That series is pretty disturbing as well. But for some reason I can't seem to put them down.

i found the books intriguing but disturbing due to the incest content used between her brother and sister characters.

she has been an author selling these books like "flowers in the attic" which tells of the children being hidden in the attic so that their mother would not be disgraced in her social life in the mansion for decades. her books are like a continuance of her story.
i moved on and chose Stephan King novels instead.

Yes, I've read the whole "Flowers" saga.
Have you read the preceding book, "Flowers in the Attic"? Without reading it, you would be a bit lost in reading the rest of them.
There is also a prequel to the saga, "Garden of Shadows" which is told by Olivia, who later becomes known as the dreaded Grandmother in the "Flowers" series.

I read the Flowers in the Attic series when I was young. They were also very disturbing, but good.

I've read all her books. Made me wonder what had happened in her life to make her write about these things. The Flowers in the Attic is my fave, still.

I read "flowers in the attic" and decided that I did not need to read any more or her books. In my opinion they are dark and very disturbing. I would rather read something that makes me feel good.

I have, and I've found all her books disturbing. They all revolve around incest, but yet... I can't stay away from them...it's strange.

I read several of the books years ago. They always have abused children in them. They seemed to get sicker. I quit reading them.
