hell yea bring it on i was in the city today and LOVED it. would bring needed expansion to the nations second city. no better place so much culture and places to go. from michigan ave. to navy pier, four professional sports teams, millennium park is amazing. the beach and lake st. sears and hancock towers to the house that MJ built. plus neverending fun and recreation in the city and surrounding suburbs. they go on for ever. they are re-doing alot of the downtown incuding 94 which is one of the nations highest traveled and longest routes. updated and ongoing great TOLLWAYS make it easy to get anywhere within 50 miles in under a hour and a half. CLEAN chicago is very well kept the downtown is very very clean they do a great job. there are just the things i know and love about the city and i live a hour away, but i jump at the chance to go downtown especially on summer days like today. atlanta was horrible let the world see chicago for what it is, a diversified city with the midwest feel, and alot to offer.

By 2016 it would be 20 years since the Olympics were held in the States, and Chicago would certainly be a favorable site. I live in Detroit, and I would be all for Chi-Town getting the Olympics.
P.S. Detroit almost got them over Mexico City.
P.S.S. My husband is a Chicago son. He'd die if his hometown got the Olympics.LOL!

Depends, I mean Chicago has a bad image in alot of countries. Crime rate, walking on the streets is dangerous, the rubbish everywhere. If Chicago's image can be cleaned up so people don't feel scared then why not? Then, as follows people will see what it's like when visiting and people will think different about Chicago and USA in general. If it can't clean up and the image stays the same and is true, then i'd think twice about going. That's just my opinion. Hey Sydney managed with all the stuff about terrorism going on.

definitely. if only because then id only have to drive half an hour to see them. actually with the traffic walking would probably be faster. but yes definitely the greatest city in the world deserves the greatest event.
