That is an impossible question to answer because there are NO safe neighborhoods in Orlando... everyone I have known that got married moved away from here as SOON as they found out their wife was going to have a baby.

Crimes are committed in affluent neighborhoods, too, so no neighborhood is ever completely safe. Some of the safer neighborhoods in Orlando are Winter Park, Maitland, Longwood, Windemere (out near Bay Hill).

First, it's worth knowing that the unemployment rate in Orlando and Fla is higher than the national average. As a consequence, the foreclosure rates are high. There's a lot of scamming people, even the seemingly nice well-to-do ones. Orlando is rated #6 on Forbes list of Most Dangerous Cities in the US based on violent crime statistics. Is this really the area you want to focus on? Read the local news for a while and you might find that the Disney allure isn't worth it.

Dont get the wrong idea. Crime is everywhere. We live in a town with lots of tourists bringing tons of money into town. Of course there is crime. Thats not to say i dont feel safe. I live south of the the city. There is less crime and a small town feeling here. Think Hunters creek, Remington Golf club, st cloud downtown is nice. Winter park is nice, but for Gazillionaires and the traffic is terrible. I think the person who said that there friends moved away when they were having kids was a nut. Its not south central LA or anything!

Most are safe, none are perfectly safe. I would avoid Pine Hills, Rock Lake, Metro West, Parramore, Rosemont, Taft, Buenaventura Lakes, Azelia Park

Look in Waterford Lakes, Baldwin Park, Audabon Park, Belle Isle, Conway, Edgewood, Lee Vista,
