Okay, I'm only sixteen, so maybe I don't know exactly what love is yet. But i've never felt this way before... When I'm with him, I'm giddy and fun and I like how I am. And he always makes me laugh so hard.

I feel like he might like me too, but he's 4 years older than me. Am I stupid for thinking I have a chance?

No you are not stupid. You probably have a crush on him and that's it.

well, you have to keep in mind that you are a minor and he is not. not to say that you shouldn't take a chance, but keep it in mind. you aren't stupid for thinking it. as you get older the years don't matter much. 4 years may only make a difference in what music you listened to as kids. it may be a good idea to wait some times and see if it is actually him that you like, or just s little crush. if it has been a while, take a brake from him and see if you can handle it. if not, think harder about how to advance the relationship just a bit. nothing innapropriate. good luck.

At 16, 4 years is like a century. you both have very different experiences, plus, with todays severe crackdown on men dating girls under 18, he risks his entire life.

Either you wait, or date boys your own age (yes, as you age, and get to be 18, messing with any boy under 18 can ruin your life!) Not fair, and fairly stupid laws exist, and we can't change them immediately. So we have to live with the stupid laws...

what is the most responsible thing you could do to prove you are becoming an adult woman?

No, you aren't stupid at all! Wrong section...I doubt any of these computer dorks will know anything about computers...but I do. haha (I am a computer dork)

Have fun with the guy, enjoy his ability to make you laugh, but know that you are too young for him. Funny how it works, in a few years, that four year difference will mean nothing...but for now...it does!

Something to consider!

everything you feel now is going to change. i know you think it won't but it will.
guys older than you now want one thing, and you know what it is.

when you get a little older (like in your middle twenties) you'll be able to handle the differences in experience. now you're just not ready.
