Look in the mirror. Someone must have cared for you enough to feed you and change your diapers. And about feeling like you matter - married couples don't always feel like they love one another, and argue quite a bit, but that doesn't mean that they don't love one another. Don't look for feelings, but a friend. One that will love you no matter what happens; not just on the days when things are going well. Concerning a partner which I think you're asking about. Never give up hope. Till then you now have a new friend. Drop some mail in my box and I will get back to you. You have lots of friends right here on yahoo, so don't be shy. Bye!

Ok, maybe i am different, but I do care about people I "meet" through Q& A. Everytime I read someone's life problem, I care what they are feeling and hope sometimes the answer can alleviate their fear or know we can share their "pain". I even got a feedback from one via email thanking me for understanding her question and trying to comfort her with good feedback. Some remember a guy about 5 days ago almost sounded like he was on the edge of ending it all? He hasn't been back on as far as I know, and I do wonder how he is. Just know this; some of us do care even if we've never met.

we are all a universe to one's self...no one of us can feel or think as we do, we are unique. if you want someone to care for you, or to feel needed you would have to begin to change your lifestyle to where you are doing something that is good for someone...so my advice to you is to start from now on by selecting a career that will be of help to the world...something like a nurse, doctor, social worker...you get the drift. try not to think about what other think of you, make yourself a good and caring person and be proud of what you are doing in life.

I don't think someone can care for someone they have never met.
When looking for someone that cares for you, you only have to look so far as your family and friends. Rest assured, they care about you, and if you aren't sure, just ask them if they do. Or maybe tell them how you feel like you don't matter to anyone, and they'll tell you that you matter to them.

Funny that you ask that, it was a question I was asking my self this very day. I mean...Why should anyone really give a sh** about me and my issues. We ALL have issues of our own. All of us. So, WHY would we care if some one else did?
Great Question...

Try turning the statement around.
No one cares about you. You don't care about anyone.
People who feel as if no one cares generally believe themselves to be unlovable. This, of course, is not true. No one is lovable or unlovable. This are just foolish beliefs that we create about ourselves.
If no one cares, change yourself to be someone who will be cared about. It's unlikely that you will want to do this.
I doubt that you care about me. So don't stress about it. I won't.

it is better to be a friend than to have or expect friendship.
