You are probably thinking of Cape Kennedy. However it is not called that anymore. It used to be called Cape Canaveral. Then it was renamed Cape Kennedy in 1963. Ten years later in 1973 the State of Florida restored the original name of Cape Canaveral, the name that remains to this day.
