First, you get to know a lot about a lot of different topics. Voila, you are a polymath. Congratulations. If you keep at it you dan be an autodidact polymath.

First, give up all social relationships. Second, give up commonly defined social pursuits. You will then have the time to pursue multiple fields of interest.

However, if you do not like being alone, you will find this difficult to accomplish.

A great thinker, by practicality, must also be alone.
