I saw a page of the graphic novel Watchmen, and it had different Dialouge in it. In the scene were Hollis Mason (Night Owl 1) is talking to Doctor Manhattan,"See, I understand cars, how they work. That's more than I can say for the rest of the world."
has been replaced with
"I lost my testicles fighting evillox, the evil villain with a thousand villainous disguises of evil. He ripped the suckers right out." Are there 2 different versions of the book? Are there any other changes? Is the "testicles" version the original, edited for US readers? Someone please answer, I'm losing sleep over this.

Well, Bull, as far as I know, there was only one authorized edition. Otherwise, Doc's next line about "The new cars should be simpler, of course, there wasn't enough lithium to make polyacetylene batteries, of course, I can syntesize it easily" (I'm paraphrasing because I don't have it right here in front of me) would make no sense.

Do youhave an actual issue, or the GN, or what? Perhaps you have a bastardized mongrel edition. (Hope you didn't spend big bucks on it.) I have heard these stories about guys modifying scenes from the watchmen.

I saw on line once, the scene where Doc brings Laurie to mars and he forgot that she needed air, so she's kneeling before him with this big-eyed look on her face, and the altered version... well, it was just too terribly obscene, I can't repeat it.

I think the ending stunk, myself, and I could have written a much better one. In fact, I did tell someone on answers about it here, but that was months ago. You'd have to go back through all my old answers to find it, but you could if you really wanted to.

Im pretty sure that the 'cars' version is the correct and the only original version.

Oh, BTW, I just found my old answer about watchmen; search on questions about Watchmen and the queston was "what happens next?" It was about seven months ago. I think you'll agree that my ending is better than Alan Moore's.
