What is the statue of limitations on rape in the state of Wisconsin. And how do you report it if some one raped you as a child over 20 years ago

Call your local sheriff's department and ask to speak to a sex crimes detective. I don't believe there is a statute of limitations - but would depend on when you 'recalled' the abuse. Another alternative is look up rape crisis centers in your area and speak with a counselor. You didn't mention which part of the state so here is a link for you in Dane Co:

In some states there is no statute on violent crimes.Go to legal aid and ask them to look it up on Lexus Nexis or try the same at your local law library ar law school.

If you have diaries from that time or the clothes you wore if they weren't washed or if you told a priest or another adult get their nam address and phone number for the investgator that would include ER doctors nurses or anybody. Even if you can't prosecute you may be able to help others that have been raped.

I hope this person gets whats coming to him and you are ok.
