I love it!
I have 2 friends named Maggie.
Everytime I talk to them I think of the Rod Stewart song.
The name is soooooo cute!

Maggie is short for Margaret.
I went to school with a girl named Maggie.

I really like the name Maggie, I think it is simple, classic and cute. I especially like it as a nickname for Margaret.

I had an aunt Pearl, it wasn't until she died that i discovered her name was in fact Margaret....shortened to Maggie...which means Pearl!!! So she called herself Pearl coz she disliked her name. It is a shortened version of Margararet,. It always reminds me of the former Prime Minister of England "Maggie Thatcher" Also the "Magpie"(bird) Sorry, it does nothing for me. I much prefer Margaret or Pearl.!

I thnk it is great for a pet's name. Isn't Maggie short for Margaret? Try Margie, it's cuter and less pet-like.

No, I don't particularly like it. This is bad to say but it is one of those names that is great for a cute dog but not for your kid.
