You must mean √[-x + 52] = 8;
square both sides -x + 52 = 64, x = -64 + 52 = -12

The rest are not clear as to what belongs under the radical, but in general, move things around until the radical is by itself on one side, then square the whole thing.

To solve #19 √x + √3 = √[x+9], square both sides to get

x + 3 + 6√x = x + 9

3 + 6√x = 9

√x = 1

x = ±1

I agree with Totems...
√25 - 3x -6 = 1 is this (√25) - 3x -6 = 1??
Or √(25 - 3x) - 6 = 1
Or √(25 - 3x -6) = 1

Wow lol the thing is some of your equations are false anyway.
You probably forgot some (). If you can put them back, then it might become doable. ;-)
