I'm reading through the questions and answers and I'm astounded by the fact that so many people misspell simple words. I especially abhor the misuse of "your" as in: "Your so cute." To all you misspellers, It's "you're" (as in "you are"). Please, don't forget. Oh, well, I guess I'm just a perfectionist.

because you a perfectionist you proberbly dont know what dyslexia means or literacy problems means plz look it up. there are some people outhere who are dyslexic and know they are and somepeople who dont...!!!!!!

I can tolerate occasional misspellings, but when they are clearly deliberate (e.g. "What is ur favorite...") I often think about F. Scott Fitzgerald's line from "The Great Gatsby":
"They were careless people, Tom and Daisy -- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made."
It's one thing not to notice (though there is that "Check Spelling" feature); it's another thing entirely not to care. Some people are content to let other people clean up their messes; they are too busy doing something else to care.

One reason is that some people such as me for example have a very hard time spelling things correctly even with spell check because of a learning disability in that area.

Except for the "computer speak" words and abbreviations, I think it is a symptom of the times we live in. It really shows off someone's
ignorance or low self-esteem. The occasional error is to be expected.

These days ev'ry thing is shortened to type quick and thats whats more important. You have to keep up with the conversation.

I too am a spelling nut but you have to realize that you cannot compel others to be the same way.
