Well I am a huge twins fan, I watch every game wrapped up in my mn twins blanket with my 3 month old little boy! He typicaly sleeps through each game, and doesnt have the slightest idea what I'm talking about, but we still talk stats, players, and his future in the mlb (mama's a dreamer!) He has dark hair and beautiful blue eyes, just like mauer! :D So i call him my future joe! Another Amazing thing about my "fan-ness" is that he was born on the twins opener.. I had the game on in my delivery room! (there is pictures for proof!!!) (so he was born a fan) Than on fathers day, my brother, my sons father and me and my son all went to the twins game against the brewers! We had a huge sign that said "babys first game" and in the 2nd or 3rd inning we were signed by bert!!! It was apsolutely amazing! Plus we won with that amazing homerun hit by the fantastic Justin Morneau! I love being in the dome and cant wait for the new stadium.. (i'll be there!) Our fans are super respectful, awesome to cheer with, and an all around blast! I cant wait to go to hundreds of more games with my son!!!!!

ps i'm totaly glad there are super fans out there just like me ;)

The Twins have traditionally been one of my favorite AL teams. My favorite player was Roy Smalley during his great 1979 year. My current favorite player would be Santana - easily one of the best pitchers in the game. My favorite Twins moment (sorry about this) was when Tom Lawless hit a walk-off homer in the 87 World Series (I am a Cardinal fan). But my favorite positive Twins moment was Dan Gladden scoring the winning run in the '91 Series - what a great game and I hated the Braves.

The organization has threatened to leave the Twin Cities when times were tough, so I do think you are overrating them a bit from that aspect. And Twin fans don't compare to Cardinals and Cubs fans when it comes down to loyalty and filling the stadium regardless of team success. The game I saw against the Cubs in '98 was only half-full, and half of them were Cub fans.

Might earn me a thumbs down, but thought to give you a balanced answer.

I have never been a big fan of A.J.

Go Twins in the AL Central - not a big Indians or Tigers fan.

Nick Punto (current) When he played at Reading (AA Eastern league)) He didn't seem to have the talent for the bigs, but
he did show a solid work ethic, and I am not the least bit surpruised he is in the majors.

All time Rod Carew and Tony O. Ah, if only Tony would have had a great pair of knees.
Then, there's Harmon Kill a few! Shade the right fielder towards center. center fielder stands on the fence...

Monica, we did not get Mauer from the Giants. haha we got Liriano, Nathan and Bonser.

I love the Twins. Favorite all-time player: Kirby. I'm only 20, I don't remember all the great old-time players, I never got to watch them play. Favorite present player has to be the hometown boy, Joe.

I loved AJ when he was on our team and I tried to give him a chance when everyone started hating him, but he has annoyed me one too many times!

I dont think i will ever figure just why everyone hates AJ. Sure he has this sense for getting in the middle of all things trouble, but he is a good player that wants to be out there everyday. You Twins fans really shouldnt hate on him to much he did bring Joe Mauer & Francisco Liriano from the giants trade.
