What should i ask for my birthday, a cell phone or redo my room? (i'm turning 14)?

What should i ask for?

My room is really kiddish, and i have always had a white room my whole life. My curtains and bedspread match and have little cartoon girls which i picked out when i was in grade 3. My room is not my age and really needs a change.

Or should i ask for a cell phone. I am going to high school this fall. I would just use it to phone , but i wouldn't use it alot, because most of my friends do not have cell's. But i still want a cell.

I am stuck, which one would be a better choice?

hey im ur friend and i have a cell! hope your having fun finding a dress! can't u redo ur room and get the phone?! I dpnt see why not u hjust need to spend 20$ for some paint and about $100 for curtains. Maybe you could get a phone for xmas and redo ur room now.

A cell phone because if you go to the mall, movies, or somewhere else then you have a way to communicate with other people if you get in trouble or need a ride.

A room makeover because you probably have friends over and you don't want to look like a dork. Also, you spend most of your time there.

I think a cell phone would be more handy because you do only invite friends over at your house and if they are your friends then they won't care. Also, a cell phone comes more in handy.

Do you earn any money? Maybe you could pay for one or the other yourself. It doesn't have to cost much to redecorate your room. You can easily do that yourself. You can buy paint and paint it yourself. You can stencil or sponge paint. You can paint stripes. You don't have to have curtains. You can use your imagination for window treatments and a bedspread. Look in magazines to get some ideas. Be different and original.

You do not have to "buy" a cell phone. Most companies will give you one with a plan contract. Maybe, if your father or mother already have a plan, you could be added on for as little as ten dollars a month. Please learn phone manners and do not turn into one of those obnoxious cell phone users who always has that stupid phone to your ear. ( Live the moment with the person you are with.)

You should redo your room because new age new you so you can have something different because you can get a cell phone for your next birthday or at christmas so get a new room because that room you have is fit for a 3 year old and your turning 14 and when your friends come over and see your room like that they can gossip about that kind of stuff

Personally, I'd go for the room redo. You can always ask for a cell phone for Christmas, but the room redo will not only make your room really great for you, but it'll be nice to start the school year with a reorganized, more stylish and more up to speed with you room.

Redo your room! At your age, that is your haven, and you want it to be your own space where you can bring your friends and be comfortable. You dont want to be feeling like a kid especially once you are going to HS. Plus, since you say your friends dont have cells, you woulkdnt get a ton of use out of one of those yet anyhow. Ask for one for your birthday next yera or at Christmas time. Or even better, save your own money and buy one too! :O) Happy Birthday!

The Room your in it a lot. The cell phone isn't a must have because most of your friend's don't have one but the room since you have to look at it a lot and be in it.

I think that the redecoration of your room is a better choice.
Cell phones aren't really important, but would you be comfortable inviting friends over to you house knowing you still have the same bedroom you grew up with?

Ask for a Cell Phone. You can redo your room later. You can look for stuff for your room throughout the year and collect stuff like posters, quilt scraps, border stencils and stuff to redecorate with and do it yourself after your birthday. Best of both worlds. by the way, happy birthday!

Cell phones are a TRUE hassle. You have to worry about people stealing it and using your minutes or calling somewhere halfway around the world and charging you 100 bucks. Otherwise, you have to worry about it running our of energy, your parents getting mad at you for going over your alloted minutes/ chat, and a TON of other stuff. They are ridiculously expensive, especially if you get the add-ons (who needs music anyways? It's a phone). Also, they are more of a social status.

I would say with going with remodeling you room.
