bag. like a skort of some kind. i have been looking online a finding it hard to get something. i think a skort as it will keep the bag in place and hid it and my scars.
i really want to go swimming with the kids but need to feel secure. i'm still young and dont want to left sitting out with the kids. sarongs dont work as they are see through and dont work well in the water
any advice gretly appreciated

I'm not really familiar with swimsuits but I can advise you on getting something that is not so tight. You should get something like a full body swimsuit. I'm not sure what a skort is but since you would like to hide your scars and the ileostomy. It would be nice for you to show-off a part of your body that you find attractive like your legs.

There is a few companies around. When it came to me swimming though I went for a "tankini" a 2 piece with a high waisted bottom and a fitted top that stopped aorund hip height. I had them in black (black is slimming!) halter that was fitted around my bust but skimmed lightly over my tummy. I found it at a regular swimwer shop. Because it is a 2 piece I was able to throw on a skirt (which helps hide the bag) when sitting on the beach but I could swim with confidence.
