Love is sacrifice... sweet at times, bitter at others.

To learn to love without regret, remorse... with freedom, passion... giving ones self completely... the only real sacrifice is ones self, our ego dissolves to enable us becoming one with the other and no longer being two persons, but one being. It is also something that demands the other to give up himself in sacrifice to be complete.

If you sacrifice things like time, money, objects, friendships, or other material things it may not be the real sacrifice that love asks from you. Neither would it be to sacrifice your health, loved ones, dreams.

Godspeed for you to find or keep your love.

A sacrifice, always, sweet sacrifice not necessarily.
But the rewards are always sweet if the love is true.

Hello dear!

Love is not a sacrifice but the search for the other half with which we reach divine levels!
Sacrifice is allowing necessary to go hoping for a divine payback! Thus, allowing mistakes for prospective lose of time, effort and expectations could be considered sacrifice.
Thus, sacrifice is needed to attain LOVE! But love itself is not!

Love is more of a compromise than a sacrifice. It's give and take but it's worth it in the long run. Try to find someone exactly like you that way there probably won't need to be any compromises. It'll be boring being with yourself but at least there won't be "room for improvement".

I've always thought of a sacrifice as losing something one would miss. Jesus 'sacrificed' His life for us, but He went on to much higher plain of existence. He surely would not have 'missed' His worldly existence.
I 'sacrificed' having loveless sexual encounters with women when I met my girlfriend. I do not 'miss' anything. I have gained much more than I have 'lost'.
Great question. Are you a Goddess or something?
