Why is it that in alot of answers I read ..................?

there are people who are accusing someone with a black picture or avatar of being white? I know this is sometimes true because it's obvious, but it's also true that white people are not the only racists. As someone from both European and African descent I am all too familiar with the fact that there are also black people who are racist and act just as hateful and childish as white racists.

My question is very clear. I want to know why so many people accuse whites on this forum of using black avatars [which to me is an indication that alot of people think whites are the only people who do this and that whites are the only racists].

Good question. I asked a similar question not long ago. I've come to the following conclusion:

I think there are two types of people who do this:

1) People who have read so many racist remarks from white people (many whom ARE white and using black avatars) that they assume all racist remarks are made by white people.

2) People who are racist themselves and use this accusation (that someone using a black avatar is actually a white person), knowing that the accusation is sometimes true (and therefore a perfect tool for them to use to cause trouble), as a way to further perpetuate racism.

It is because people do not look beyond the appearances. We have the right to pick up the avatar we like. In real life, people are so concerned about the way they look, not the way they feel, so it is reflected in that concern. These judgmental persons are probably doing that with everything and everyone around them. If someone would accuse me of that I would simply block them.

this is absolutely ridiculous, who cares? you know something is terribly wrong with our society if we're going to waste time concerning ourselves with the color of someone's avatar on a forum lol. i think the question we should ask is why there are some people in our society who believe a black kid reading a book is acting white and a white kid involved in hip-hop is acting black lol.

but since you didn't get any intelligent answer im going to give you one now.
it simple, the reason people do this is because the white folk that have black avatars make it so obvious, it ridiculous, anybody in their right mind know this right away. now, it true that black folk have white avatar, but they dont get carried away with it, i know you know what i mean. its not that black people arent raciest (cause we all know their are some out there) its just that white folk are better known for it

BECAUSE THEY WANT TO KNOW WHAT IN THE H, CAUSES BLACK PEOPLE TO ACT THE WAY THEY DO. MINE IS A GENERIC AVATAR.
