not all the time. just about every other time I drive it. when you step on the gas mostly. any one had this problem with a grand am ? or any other car. it starts fine though

Change your fuel filter, add some STP gas treatment and check to see if your air filer is dirty if so change it.

It needs a tune up. Spark plugs and wires to start with
