for each 10 color shards you can trade them for a TM.

on route 212 2 squares west of pastoria city she will give u a tm for 10 shards of the same color

Under ground, on the map, you see the four corners, right?
Well, in all four corners, a guy is there, (a hiker guy)
instead of giving you base furniture, ore traps, he wants your treasures! (Shards, Fossils, etc) and he'll give you pretty good spheres! For a draco plate, he offers a red sphere 72!!!
But Draco plates are rare, so I won't give it to him until I get doubles! =)

Nothing, as far as I can tell. You are supposed to trade them in to the lady on the far side of the swamp, and she gives you something if you have ten of the same color. Big deal.
