How do I install package files onto the Sims 2 game?

I've downloaded a packaged file onto my Sims 2, but now how do I install it so that I can use it in the game?

Just move the file into your downloads folder, which is located under My Documents>Ea Games>The Sims2>Downloads. If you don't have a Downloads folder, just make one yourself by right clicking and choosing create new folder. Make sure you name it Downloads (with a capital D). Then move your downloaded files into that folder. They should work unless the files need meshes, then you'll have to download those too. For more info about downloading, go to Sims2.com. Good luck!
