I've never considered it, but probably not.
When we fart, the gas actually comes from bacteria in our intestines. We have billions of harmless bacteria that live there and like to eat on some of the food we consume. One of the byproducts is gas (methane, hydrogen sulfide, etc...), which causes us to pass wind.
However, the womb is sterile, so no bacteria live in the intestines of the fetus. In fact, the only contents of the fetus's intestines is meconium (bile, dead intestine mucosa cells, amniotic fluid, and other debris). No bacteria, no gas, no farting.

Babies don't eat in the womb or use their digestive tracts at all until they are born.
I hope you can understand this and if not perhaps a parent can explain it to you.

I actually wondered this too!!!
If a pregnant woman eats something that would normally make her gassy (ex. beans)... would the baby get gas too?
and maybe that's why pregnant women are SUPER gassy?!
(at least I was lolll)
good question.. made me laugh =]]]]
can't wait to see some of the responses!
