I am 5'3. I really like this girl who's my very close friend. She's 5 inches smaller than me, but currently dating a guy who's 6'2, and seems to be into tall guys. She doesn't know how I feel. Where do other people stand on this? Am I too short?

Keep trying. I am 5'11" and when I was first approached by a man who was 5'2" I thought it wouldn't work. But he gently persisted and I agreed to go out and we had the best 5 years of our lives, marrying 3 years after we met. We attended a Halloween party once as Boris and Natasha, and another costume affair as Mrs Roarke and Tatoo. It was such love, such devotion, and way way better than any of the taller men I had known. My guy died in a car crash in 2001 and I still miss him terribly.
Never let your height hold you back. Someone will love you and being short won't matter at all.

You are not too short to date. No one is too short to date. So what if this girl has been into tall guys, show her that "tall isn't all."

Unfortunately many women do not like short men, but you can find someone who likes you for who you are. If it bothers you that much, go prince (purple rain style) by wearing 6 inch heels.
