thank god for all of you! I thought it was just me! I also go upstairs , forget why, have a wee and then go downstairs again. I also open the fridge and forget what I wanted. Yesterday I went to the garden shed ditto. I thought it was dementia but now I know its normal, unless we ALL have dementia Love to all By the way, whats this screen in front of me? I dont remember buying a new microwave.

Oh yes! But not always up the stairs- I go into another room or down the stairs! It happens to me all the time, and if the bloke suffers "a forgetful fit", I'M expected to think for him!

Yes, then go back down the stairs, all the way to where you came from and only then do you remember what you went upstairs for in the first place.

I tend to think, "ooh, I'll have a wee while I'm here" then I head downstairs again afterwards only to curse at the bottom stair and go all the way back.

all the time....the problem is, when i come back down again, i can't be sure if i've actually come down for something & forgotten what it was i wanted......it takes me a few attempts of walking up and down the stairs, before i get tired and just sit half way to mull it over.....*sigh*......and the give up and go back to whatever it was i was doing.....if i can remember what that was...and whether it was upstairs or down....
mmm.....and in the end....i stay where i am.....it's safest.

Every single day. The other thing that annoys me is to go upstairs to get something, do something else (ie: go to the loo) then come downstairs without the thing I went up there for in the first place. Grrrr.

Sometimes I dont even make it to the top of the stairs....Ive also found my phone in the fridge and ice cream in my handbag.....

Sigh...yes...middle age is settling in...it happens all the time now. ESPECIALLY when I go grocery shopping. I MUST make up a list, because without it, I'm lost!
