Im about 34 weeks pregnant and it's really weird but I've noticed that everytime I listen to the song "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley, my baby starts moving along with the song. My hubby says its imposible for the baby to hear it because I'm using earbuds, but it happens everytime..lol. Does anyone else have something they do that makes your baby come to life?

Water is an excellent conductor for sound and the baby is, basically, underwater. The baby is also able to detect certain sound vibrations. For example, when you feel the bass beat to a hip-hop song through your feet when it’s too loud. Babies will respond to the sounds of mom (voice, heartbeat, etc) more than dad because they are exposed to it everyday.

My baby isn't reacting to music, but I'm only 26 weeks. Maybe that song is one of your favorites and your heartrate or activity rate increases when you hear it?

My baby loves (or hates...I'm not sure) my cats. If they lay on my tummy he goes crazy trying to kick them. They know something is in there and they'll start patting my tummy and licking it, and that just gets him more fired up! I can put aything else on my tummy, like someone's hand or a stuffed animal, and he doesn't care, but the cats get him going!

Edit: Why the thumbs down? WTF?

when i was pregnant, when i would get in the shower, my son would turn around and i could see him stick himself out into the direction of the water. my daughter would love to come in the shower with me, cuz she thought it was the coolest thing. now, i cant get him out of the shower. :)
