I just recently found out that the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street decided to "change his ways" and become the "vegetable monster".

Who else is outraged by this?

That has gone too far. How stupid and sad. Kids are going to know about and love cookies, no matter what. Do they honestly think that Cookie Monster is contributing to childhood obesity, or do people feel so powerless that they would do something as meaningless and ineffective as this?

That is the most retarded thing I have heard in a long time, how the frick can they change the cookie monster? He was my favorite!!! I really don't see how changing his name will change a kids' attitude about what he or she will reach for when the munchies hit. A lot of it is what the parents bring home and have laying around. If there's snacks and candy everywhere then guess what they will eat? Duh!
