Enki,
OMG What a horribly sad thought!
I never thought of it before but YES I guess that could very well be the case.
So many people spend their entire lives searching for something that is missing. So few ever find the other part of themselves. I believe that is why the idea of a Soulmate seems so odd to people these days.

Not if free will exists. Assuming anything is fate is to
displace free will. Even if it was true then who is more
responsible. The one who has the baby forcing the other
to have a baby, or the one who does not have a baby
forcing the other not to have a baby. In my opinion, both
have an equal argument; the one is determining the other's
future. Therefore, child birth should be taken seriously
and an appropriate choice should be made(preferably
before abortion would be a choice, choosing before the
state).

That is if you believe in Soulmates. If you believe in Soulmates, then you should also believe that a baby aborted was never meant to have a Soulmate.

I'm sure that God has planned for us everything...
But He/She.... is a busy being....y'know with all those prayers and everything...
Still...I'm sure whatever happens is mean t to be. And I'm sure the baby aborted was never meant to be in this world...so I'm sure that another baby doesn't lose a soulmate....
But.......
You never know what kind of tricks are up God's sleeve.

wow. that is one intense question. i'm not sure... i believe in soulmates, but i'm not sure if God would let that happen... does everybody have a soulmate? here's a question, if a person goes through life never having loved someone, did their soulmate die and they didn't know it? Or did they not have a soulmate to begin with?

I pray not... I don't believe in just one (love) soulmate... my best friend was my friendship soulmate but and then there is my ex-fiancee who I believe was my love soulmate who. I have lost them both... one to death... the other to alcohol. I find it sad to think that and I had never truly though of it in that context but let us hope that it is not so.

Who's to say that a potential newborn's soulmate isn't someone already living among us...or vice-versa? The tone of the question seems to indicate you hate abortion. I do not believe abortion is right either, but the question you're asking does not help the cause at all. I am more concerned that whoever performs the abortion may have lost THEIR soul.

Hmmn... Interesting question. Never heard this one before.
At any rate, I believe so. Maybe this will explain why I am so alone physically and emotionally and can't get attached to anyone. Maybe my soulmate wasn't born at all. who knows?

Well the chances are highly unlikely that theyd meet on this earth anyways. Very few soulmates reincarnate at the same time and if they DO actually get to meet, the love attraction is soo intense that its difficult to maintain. With that much love you can always turn it around and be like well........theres that much fear of losing them. I would never worry about that cause honestly.....How many people do YOU know who are actually in a relationship with theirs???
