Loneliness number one differs from aloneness. That has to be made as clear as possible right here at the outset -- completely different animals...

Aloneness speaks to centeredness. Loneliness does not.

Both impart and necessitate reflection.

Loneliness, on the other hand, is a symptom of something greater, which necessarily has not to be either good or bad, which can also stem from aloneness itself, but too regards some particular state that one lives in and in other instances compelled to live in; this, to serve of some deeper purpose for understanding some aspect of life.

Loneliness may regard some one aspect of life requiring greater reflection by which to ensure that changes happen.

Loneliness may as well speak to one's entire life, for which condition a possible change would appear insurmountable to achieve -- though this perception is not truly the case but does require often radical shifts. These are all aspects well tied into DNA, astronomical configurations, pre-ordained scripting of life, and finally, mistakes made.

On the outer, loneliness is generaly thought an outer expression but is truly life's way of salvaging for an individual a quick lesson that the individual would not otherwise have or know to initiate.

Loneliness, and this same want of the Greater All, is actually a force that must result because elsewhere, in some part of the world, there exists another individual whose lessons require that he or she have the company of many: this cannot be unless there exist ballasts to avail this.

Thus there exist "checks and balances" to all life in no less manner than evident in the practice of principles of accounting or as found midst the dealings and protocols of Congress.

On the Inner, loneliness is a measure of something altogether remove: one's loneliness on the inner suggests the great accompaniment and recognition of the strides one has made in the other worlds; thus the loneliness is but the ordering and balancing of the things unseen and not evident to common perception, which apparent stalemate is temporaral, and so fear not -- things will swing back around to normalcy again, for life is dynamic.

- What/Why is loneliness?

To me, the term imparts a feeling of solitude. Lonelieness is /discrete/ from solitude, for it is a subjective view, where as solitude is more of an objective description. BUT in the case that they are embodied as supplements in a package of sorts, they coexist with one another.

Therefore, 'loneliness' is a term derived from a view of 'not-belonging,' or rather, unnecessary distinction from a group of supposed peers.

- How is loneliness?

If loneliness is connected with solitude, adjoined by a view, I suppose it would take a mix of solitude and such a view.

- Where is loneliness?

If loneliness is indeed a 'view,' it exists in the mind.

- Who is loneliness?

Provided loneliness is such a view, the person in mind would have to be one who sees that he/she SHOULD belong to a group.. but isn't. Those are my interpretations..

Loneliness arises out of thinking about the state of being alone. Aloness is a require to thought. Let go of the desire to think and the state of being alone will evaporate. Loneliness then will also evaporate.

Loneliness is a requirement if you make the choice to continue thinking. Nothing stops you from talking to others, meeting people, participating in life, other than perpetuating the desire to think.

Loneliness is when one do not have a shoulder to lean on, to cry and share with all the things one have faced each day.

Its as cold as the winter wind and hot as the burning hell. Its like the sublime pain that bleeds from the shattering glass. Its like the unseen tears slowly sipped down to nothingness.

No one could ever visualize these unpredicedented place. Its as long and winding as the never ending road.

It comes in many forms, unpredictable to anyone. It could be in poverty or in power, in beauty or in grace. No one could really state its presence like the subtle smile of Mona Liza.
