I dislike it as well, unless it's my man saying it because I already know he loves and respects me.
When other men say that I feel like a piece of meat they drool over.
I take long walks and runs around my neighborhood daily and I especially HATE when men whistle or honk their horns. I am an intelligent woman and I hate to feel disrespected.
A note to men who read this- women appreciate being called 'beautiful' much more than 'hot'

Give it another 10 years and you'll be wishing people were still calling you hot. Unless the person saying is clearly being disrespectful or undulating while saying it, then just get off of your throne and politely say thank you.

I like being called pretty or beautiful or when a guy picks out a specific thing (i.e. smile) to compliment you on. being hot is just a label and makes me feel a little slutty or sleazy...it seems cheap

If you don't like the hot labels, don't get into skimpy, showy clothes. Men (usually the wrong kind of men) will notice and you will get the cat calls.
If you want positive attention, dress the part and do something positive. If you dress like the womanly wiles are your greatest gift, you will be rudely reminded you are a woman by rude people.

nope. i hate it...i always prefered pretty or beautiful. i always thought "hot" was something a guy would like hit and then leave. but that may just be me.

Sometimes it make me feel weird and uncomfortable so you not the only one because I don't like it either but who knows maybe we might grow to like it someday!
