I am a lesbian, and a very confused one at that. Although I love my girlfriend me and her both are confused. In my opinion I think no human being can answer this question but God. But I just would like to read yours ..Do you think being lesbian, bisexual, and Gay a sin? My girlfriend Preacher said this "God, gave us a conscience and you know what right and wrong is. Your conscience is knowing that being gay is wrong." I never said it was wrong I'm just afraid of going to hell.
Your advice and Opinions would be great.

God Bless You All

I know a lot of heterosexual people are going to say negative its okay I accept that. But no sin is bigger than the other and I ask for forgiveness everyday. And I pray and I always put God before every and anything I do.

I think your girlfriend preacher knows if she is a lesbian, that what is wrong is to do what is unnatural for you. If you know in the depths of your soul that it's wrong for you to be with a man and it's just right to be with a woman, then it's right to be a lesbian. You have to live your life true to your being, in the way that god designed you as an individual. Who know's what his plan is for you, but you can't deny his plan.

For all those who THINK they know what the Bible says/means/intends when they really don't: Like any piece if historic literature, one must take into account what was going on socially and politically at the time the passage was written. People are always talking about how it says in Genesis that man should not lie with man. At that time (and you can research this on your own and see that it's true!) there were many, many groups of people who were dying out. Disease and famine killed so many that society was wilting. Thus, it was encouraged that man lie with woman in order to sustain the population (i.e. have babies). Not only would this ensure that the population wouldn't die off, but also because the rulers of the time needed to be sure that their kindgoms would have plenty of people (people = money and power!) to sustain them as well for many years to come. You can't just read something, memorize where it is, and spout it off whenever you feel like it. Memorization and knowledge are two very different things! So, SexiTomBoi - you have nothing to repent for! You are NOT sinning!

there are so many different versions of the bible i cant even count them, so many different verses, many different translations.

religion- the stupidest thing in the world. it gets in the way of people and god every day, some people even turn away from god due to what religion tells them.

the bible was written by man, and has been translated into many forms, and on top of that before they had a method of printing books they had monks write them down word for word. anything could have been thrown in there. it also says you cant eat shell fish and wear clothes with 2 kinds of thread woven into them (just a few among the many stupid rules) yet for soem strange reason christians only pick out homosexuality.keep that in mind.

the "god made adam and eve,not adam and steve" argument can be beat because you must start SOMEWHERE. god didnt make disabled people at 1st either. but you have to start somewhere. the more generations go on, defects in genes occur and wah lah-you get a gay person.
the "we were put here to make babies" argument is easily beat because many heterosexuals are born infertile. homosexuality is another form of infertility.

the bible is not god either.it was written by man. dont trust the bible, especially the new testament. the new testament is you letting them translate everything for you and you risk being fed lies more often. religion is not god either. god is himself.

and whatever you do dont listen to every idiot thats gonna say "its a sin!you're going to straight to hell!the bible says it therefore its what god wants!we know everything and you know nothing!!!"
because they have no real ability to think on thier own. they just listen to what people/a book tells them.

god doesnt send good people who have faith in him to hell.

Dear Sexy A,

The Pope has also decreed that the earth is FLAT… No room for debate.
When Galileo Galilei invented the telescope, the Papal Father decreed that the earth was the center of all creation… No room for debate.
The Bible ALSO says to kill witches [King James Version: Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. Exodus 22:18]
And to stone all prostitutes and there clientele. [And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death Leviticus 20:10] Yet these God fearing people haven’t been seen on 8Mile in all of the recorded history of the city of Detroit wielding rocks or chasing hookers.

After the Knights Templar had there heads handed to them at the end of the first crusade, the Pope decreed that gays were contraire to God’s divine plan… No room for debate. Several gay brothers walked out of the papal chambers, never to return.
The question of gays in the church WAS debated for a time. But the Pope needed the faithful breeding more troops, for the second crusade. So gays were bad… No room for debate.

And the fact that there are OVER 40 lesbian, gay, and transgender saints recognized by the church http://www.otkenyer.hu/halsall/lgbh-gays... simply fell on deaf ears.

It strikes me that these Christians are missing the point of being a CHRISTIAN. Christians supposedly follow the teachings of Christ. Jesus was NOT a vindictive or vengeful man. He taught ONE law: “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you” John 15:12 and with his sacrifice for all of us this one law NOW becomes enough. God has had her pound of flesh. All that remains is to love each other and in so doing prove we are worthy of her love. To a TRUE CHRISTIAN the Old Testament is now null and void. It’s now nothing more than an interesting prolog to the important story being told in the New Testament. [The Old Testament is only The Hobbit… The NEW Testament is The Lord of the Rings]

The thing we ALL need to understand is that we as humans… [Including the Pope.]… Are people. Each of us have our agendas.

IF God now asks of us ONLY that we love each other and Pastor Fried Philps preaches www.godhatesfags.com who’s work is he really doing?

Hugs,
PennyAnn

Most main stream churches teach that being GBLT is a sin.

However! It is my belief that a person is born this way. I believe that God made us all. I do not believe that God would make you a certain way then tell you, "You are damned because of the way I made you."

What matters is that you are a good person. That you do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

I know what is written in the Bible.... And yes it does out and out says homosexuality is wrong. However, I also know that the words written in the Bible were written by a human being. And I have to wonder if a human being added those words..... As human beings we tend to condem what we do not understand.

Being gay, lesbian, or bisexual isnt a choice you make, its how you are born. It is also something that you personally do not have any control over. You love who you love, no matter who or what sex they are. I am no pastor, preacher, priest, rabbi, or anything else, but i dont understand why you would go to hell over something that is beyond your control. The bible, religion set a kind of moral code people should follow, aka treat others as you would like to be treated, dont steal, dont kill and the like....all of those free will things that we do have a choice about, but it is my belief that a person under the eyes of God will not be damned because of something they have no control of. But thats just my belief. Good Luck to you!

Hello there! You know what this is my opinion! No matter what people say or what it says in the bible or what preachers say ot tell you in church, there is nothing wrong with it! Its just like masturbation, there is nothing wrong with that either! Its just the act of pleasing one self and enjoying the pleasure of it! Being gay, bi-sexual or lesbian is just fine! You should enjoy what you are or being what you are and enjoy what you do and how you go about doing it! Dont be scared or afraide of what or who you are and who you enjoy being with or having sex with, that is your choice! Enjoy life and enjoy sex with the person your with!! GOOD LUCK!!!

My opinion is that if you believe in a loving God, then consider this----would a loving God have created you the way you are only to condemn you? I would also guess that it's your indoctrination, not your conscience, that tells you that "being gay" is wrong. Put your trust in your relationship with your God instead of fear-ridden religious dogma ("word of God" interpreted and written by humans).

I don't know if it is a sin or not all i can say is that what's right is what you believe to be right. No-one can choose what is right and wrong but yourself. I, myself do not see homosexuality as a sin, because you are doing nothing wrong. Being in love is natural and love is not a sin. It is your choice or not to deicde and i hope you can.

Don't you dare ask for forgiveness, you've done nothing wrong. If loving your partner is the worst sin you'll ever make, hell I'd like there to be 30 million of you.
