I have flown with some confidence but feel that with a family to care for, am more apt to stay low to the ground. Low to the ground there is a better chance to fly again if I fail. But I do remember a time when I was younger and had many dreams and aspirations that could have carried me higher than the clouds. With my children, I find myself being more of an instructor and guide than a pilot.

absolutely YES.

the pilot is the person responsible for the entire aircraft, from the moment s/he steps aboard. There are a number of reasons an aircraft might not be considered ready to fly -- the pilot, navigator, mechanics, all have roles to play in making that determination.

Doesn't change the fact that the pilot is the pilot, if it does or does;nt leave the ground.

Nope. It left the ground and was soaring high. Then one day it flamed out because of a clogged fuel nozzle, I didn't abandon my machine though, I stuck with it until it crashed. They put me back together but its never the same. Now I don't even get taken out for show. I just sit in the hangar and think about how good it was when it was good. Maybe someone will find me and help me get into the air again.

My plane has been soaring for about 3 years now. In the span of my life, this is only a short time.

In terms of analogies, I have probably gone into high earth orbit.

Can I give your plane some oil or gas?

Right now I feel that way. I feel like my life is following its own footsteps over and over again. It seems like there is nothing new. Once I break away from home, go to college and etc, I am taking off. I'm going to see the world and everything in it. I'm going to do different things and enrich myself in the different cultures that I have never experienced before. it'll be the trip of a lifetime.

How tragic. I think I'm too young to consider that as a view, but hope in my mind will always remain, it's never too late to fly and bend the odds to your advantage. I think the two greatest tools to achieve this -- and perhaps underestimated -- are righteousness and kindness -- and of course strength and courage.

My plane is always in the air; sometimes I have 1 passenger, sometimes I have 2 passengers, but lately I have been flying solo.
