The Curse of the Black Pearl (the first movie). The writing was witty and humorous, the Jack Sparrow character wasn't too over-the-top but still amusing, and the movie was fairly grounded in reality w/o having to resort to as much fantasy as the other two did. Plus, it relaunched my friends and I back into our long and heated Ninjas vs. Pirates debate. My least favorite had to be the Dead Man's Chest. I liked the movie but I thought that w/o the sword fight scene, it seemed somewhat short. I had to agree critics that complained that the scene dragged on for too long. Also, there was no closure whatsoever. I think that a movie shouldn't have too many side stories w/o attempting to finish one of them (despite us knowing that a follow-up film was coming the next year), which I feel DMC was very guilty of. I, like many others, walked out of the theatre feeling a little frustrated w/ it. Just my opinion, of course. I saw all of them in the theatres and thought they were all entertaining. Well worth the $9 ticket, which is I all I ask of any movie.

My friend Johnny Depp! In real life he is such an interesting guy and takes on roles that others would not. He enjoys the challenge and picks his roles very carefully. A brilliant and unique actor!

I couldn't say I really cared for that movie too much. Any of them, actually. So I don't have a favorite pirate. Jack Sparrow was a nuisance, as were the rest of them.

my favs were Pintel and Ragetti were the best pirates! i love the humor and they looked what i imagined real pirates looked like!!
