Interesting phrasing.
In what way can 'you' posses 'life' at all? Life possesses you.
You can be king of nothing but an imagined 'self' and even that is controlled by your society.
Show me this 'life' you are talking about. If it is the imagined 'story' you've created from memories and imagined futures then you've got nothing.
If it is the spontaneous, moving, transforming energy that is holding your body together right now then you will never be king of it and neither will anything or anyone, ever.

By doing all the things you feel are "right" and not doing anything that you feel is even remotely "bad" !!!!!
Think about what it is in life that truly excites you/interests you & persue it as a career !!! That way you will wake up with a smile and wont be able to wait to get to "work" and you'll go to bed with a smile of satisfaction of having done something you loved to do all day !!!!

You don't. When you accept reality, you life will change. There are so many things in life that we have no control over. When you learn that you have total control over yourself, you will benefit. When you learn not to personalize the words or actions of another, you will rise above some of the common emotional responses that we can find.
When you learn what beliefs create suffering in your life and when you change them, you will have become king, master or a very peaceful person.

overthrow your life in a bloody coup. then after years of iron fisted rule and several failed marriages. give your life to your closety gay son who will turn all your wealth and power into a joke. and after 200 years of rule your life will be invaded by a larger more powerful life and they will form a democracy, socialize medicine and improve the lives of the poor. but then slowly the corrupt government will turn all that was once good into evil for the price of greed. after this period of darkness one man will come to save us all.
