Trust is a belief about what will happen before it happens. I trust that you will read this response.

Love, on the other hand, is a feeling of affection. I don't love you. I don't know you. I have no reason to feel anything for you. And the same is true of you.

Love and trust are unrelated concepts.

No. You've heard the maxim "Love many, trust few?" Love means caring about a person or thing, but to trust is a whole different area. That means you believe in their decision-making and integrity. You can love someone who is a liar and a thief but you'd be a fool to trust them with anything you wouldn't trust a complete stranger with. Trust is usually preceded by a level of love- you care about a leader you choose to some degree and it's implied that you trust them.

Love is rare. Few actually experience true love, The rest of us
long for love We think it will complete us. We feel that if someone makes us feel good we think we are in love.
Trust and love have little to do with each other. They are suppose to go hand in hand. But, too often love is mistaken with being smitten.
Then that illusion of love is betrayed by betrayal and trust is shattered.
Yet, I believe there is true love out there.
I am not giving up on finding it
