I don't know. It's bothered me for 20 years, starting in the 80's when they were all named Heather. Now it's even worse with names like Shanquaniqua and stuff you cannot spell or pronounce. What's up with that?

Good question. Naming babies seems to go in cycles. For a while it was all "soap opera" type names like Connor, Heather, Madison, Logan, Brooke, Cameron.
Now the trend seems to be more old -fashioned names like Emily , or Emma, Sophia, Olivia, Jackson, and so on. I definitely prefer your simpler names and the old fashioned ones.
