Based on skills, it's obvious that you would choose Steve Nash. But, Parker knows how to win a championship, as he's won four, while Nash has none. So that's really the question, do you want an amazing player, or a good player who knows how to win championships. I would take Tony Parker, and he's one of the most underrated guards in the NBA.

I think a good way to get the answer to this is to Swap them both. If tony parker went to the suns, The suns would be a wildcard team and would be knocked out in the first round. Steve nash on the other hand with the spurs would be an unbelievable team, With the leadership that nash has and the way he can make alright players good players, He would make the rest of the spurs superstars, So i think Nash is way better than parker, But under the circumstances they are in, Parker has been in a better situation to win.

If you're talking about BUILDING your team around, I would have to say Parker. I think Nash is probably better RIGHT now, but Nash only has a few more peak years. His body is already having problems like his back spasms and things like that. Since Tony is younger and has many more years left than Steve you'd have to go with Tony. Tony has proven he's good and doesn't fold under pressure and as long as his work ethic is good, he only going to get better. Either way they are both really great!

Steve Nash. What type of question is this. Tony Parker is only so good. Even the backups on Tony Parkers team colud be starters and the only reason Tony Parker won MVP of the finals was because the cavaliers were much more busy with the real star Tim Duncan

I'm a Spurs fan but you can't honestly compare the 2-time NBA MVP to Tony Parker.

Sure Tony had an outstanding playoffs as evidenced by his Finals MVP award, but his winning Titles has something to do w/ a guy named Duncan while Nash is obviously the engine that runs the Suns machine. W/out him, the Suns are lost.

Tony's a great player, but he's not in the same class as Steve Nash.

Steve Nash. Parker is brilliant with his speed and quickness, but a point guard is supposed to distribute the ball. The point guard's job is the be the floor general and dictate the offense. Nash demonstrate that every night by setting his teammates up and dishing the ball to them. Also, Parker's jumpshot isn't too consistent, and if their is a great defensive big man under the basket, Parker will not score as easily.

in my opinion Tony Parker can't really even come close to being as good as Steve Nash is so Nash all the way. and anyone who says Parker is either a spurs fan, French, or knows nothing about basketball because even though i agree that he is a very underrated player Parker isn't the one who won the MVP twice in a row and if Nash and Parker switched teams then Nash would be the one winning those championships.

Tony Parker. Steve Nash is great, no question, but he's reached his peak and the only direction for him to go now is down. Tony Parker is also great but he hasn't even begun to peak. His stats get better every year.
