You are going through process of Pre-labor. You can lose
your mucus plug, but never go into labor. It could be a week
or two before the contractions actually start. Don't do
anything crazy like moving furniture, or walking
long distances, or fooling around. You can
start cramping and feel nauseous, and distress
your baby. Take a warm bath to relax the
muscles in your uterus, instead of walking around.
Or it could be possible, you have a lazy baby.
Most babies get too comfortable inside the
uterus, which causes extreme grief to the
expectant mother. However, if your stomach
feels like its cramping a bit, don't hesitate to
call your doctor.

I had my membranes stripped with my third child. My mucus plug came out the next day, then my labor started two days later.
My advice is to walk and do the deed with your DH or SO. Nipple stimulation releases natural oxytocin which stimulates contractions. Also, you can do a wide squat, which will open your pelvis and allow the baby's head to put pressure on your cervix, and do little bounces. Like a frog.
Do you know at what station the baby's head is? If your pelvis is small and baby's head is large, there might not be enough room for the baby to settle down and dilate your cervix.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, you could still go for 2-3 weeks without labor. You are having prelabor and that is good. It really is doing something. Try and relax and enjoy your last nights of uninterupted sleep minus the potty trips. The baby must and will be born. Try and do something fun that will take your mind off of it. I went into labor after a long day of shopping and dinner with my girlfriends and then a movie with my hubby. I think I got so relaxed and distracted while I was busy it just happened without me trying to do anything. Celebrate you and your hubby for the upcoming days. Go for walks with him or your friends and just do it for the pleasure of it. You will be glad you did.

There's no way to be sure. That's a sign the baby might be early, since you've started dilating. The doctor has done the right thing to prepare y'all as much as possible if you do go into labor, but things could just come to a standstill for as long as they want. So rest up and drink plenty of fluids and hope for the best.

Tell the dr. you want him to break your water. Having sex at this point, with stripped membranes, is probably looking for an infection. Usually it's a good idea, though.
Your dr. is the only one who can make the process faster.

If it did. stay away from baths and pools. What I did was move furniture around. I did the mall walking, the intercourse. Nope my son was determined to stay put. Well one day during my nesting period of the day, I moved the furniture in my bedroom. Went into labor that night. But please be careful don't hurt yourself or the baby.

Actually you should take a long walk with someone. Keep a cellphone with you just in case. It worked for me and others I have told. Walk about 2 miles. Let me know!

Its up to the baby - when there ready. You can try having sex or walking a little. But all pregnancies are different.

When contractions happen (if you are getting them), TAKE A HOT SHOWER.
The hot shower should be aimed at your chest, to encourage nipple stimulation AND at your lower back, to help intensify contractions.
