Half a hole is still a hole - if you get my meaning. Presumably you mean a hole half the size.
1 man takes 10 days.
2 men would do it in 5 days if the hole was the same size,
but for half the size, it's 2.5 days.

1+++++++1+++++++10
2++++++0.5++++++10 x (1/2) x (1/2) = 2.5
It would take 2.5 days
