I just noticed he is starting to shed- he has some skin pulled off him head/face, how long does it take for him to shed- days or just 1 day?

Mine usually sheds and eats it all in the same day. Make sure he has a moist hide on the warm side of the tank. This will speed up shedding, and especially help the shed come off the toes. If it doesn't, it can actually cut off circulation to the toes. Go to www.reptilerooms.com forums and look up the leopard gecko area for great info and a place to ask all your gecko questions!

It all depends on how much humidity is in the cage, but usually a gecko takes a couple days to scrape all the pieces off, if it is not all off in 7 days then saok ihim in a little warm water. not hot just warm and deep enough to get him wet, but not drowned him. then after about 10 min you should be able to peel the excess skin off and no they won't peel the skin under there off they know what they are doing and push hard enough to get the dead stuff. Oh make sure you have a rock in there for him to rub on the tank sides would help him. good luck
