Let me explain a little more. thank you all for your answer but whati mean is.....who do you put first.....When your heart is broken because of your lover or when your frustrated becasue of your friend...who comes first ( ie,...the lover and friend are the same person...which comes first?)

My opinion is ..... listen like a friend would.... and provide comfort & security as a lover could. Thats just how i view it, so a bit of both to balance it all out. :o) Take care and good luck.

You really need both but a friend should come first. that is what holds the relationship together. Lover just adds to it like a bonus.
