Hello,

MY wife and I are going for a honeymoon in Hawaii, and on the way back we want to visit at the Niagara falls - we have never been there...
We are looking for a good fallsview hotel in the Niagara falls, I visit both the Marriott and the Hilton hotels websites, from the pics there the view from Marriott seems better, but this pic can deceive.

Any recommendation will be appreciated...

There are a bunch of hotels with great fallsview rooms, Sheraton Fallsview, Ramada Plaza, Embassy suites, The marriot and the Fallsview casino resort hotel are the best.

I know this is awful to say, but in the grand scheme of things, $700 is not a lot when you're talking about a wedding or honeymoon. Here's the way I would break it down: Can you put that $700 toward something in the actual wedding that's really, really important to you that you couldn't otherwise afford? For example, my fiance and I compromised a Hawaiian honeymoon for a week at a Vermont B&B to have a high-quality photographer and splurge a little on customized menus, invitations and programs because we're both creative people, and that stuff was more important to us. However, if you have the $700 for your honeymoon, and you're happy with all your other plans, I would say to go for it and get the more luxurious room. $250 a night actually isn't even that bad. I know that people say that on vacations, you don't spend a lot of time in your hotel room, but honeymoons are kind of the exception :)

The Mariott is closer to the falls and the hilton is somewhat blocked by the casino tower.

Have you considered skipping a fallsview hotel and coming to Niagara-on-the-Lake to stay in on of the B&B's you can look at different ones through the chamber of commerce website for NOTL at www.niagaraonthelake.com

The best hotels for falls views are

Embassy Suites,

Fallsview Casino

Sheraton Fallsview.

All are very expensive for rooms with views of the falls, and you should book well in advance.

A number of yrs. ago we stayed at Holiday Inn by the Falls it was resonable and for under $150 US dollars we got dinner for 2 at the Skylon Towers revolving restaurant and 2 breakfasts at Coco's inside the hotel... The room was nice w/o being too cheap and being by the falls was a nice romantic weekend.. However, we were there off season in the winter which if you have a chance to do sometime... Is really awesome because, everything is covered in really thick crystal clear ice !!! Unbelieveable and breathtaking....congrats and good luck

The Marriot would be the better choice because i used to live in Hawaii and when we came to Montana we stayed at the Marriot by niagra falls and it was great.
