With Yahoo Mail, unsolicited mail should go into your bulk folder. Take a second to look down the list, then on the bottom, click the "check all" button, then click "delete."

If any go into your inbox, click in the box preceding the sender, then click the "spam" button. It will be blocked.

There isn't really much you can do about it. If you are using Outlook Express, you can try blocking all messages from one email address by clicking Tools > Message Rules > Blocked Senders List. If you are using MSN or Yahoo mail, then there should be come sort of spam blocker under options or something. And always tick the box saying “Never share my details with anyone” when filling in a form if there is one, or they can give out your email to anyone they want.

Depends on your email. However, If you have windows live mail a bar will come at the top asking if you know the sender. Click that you don't know the sender and Microsoft will not only see to it that such mail from that sender doesnt come to your mailbox but it will investigate the problem and why the junk mail is going round and try and shut down the problem from its source.
