driving...at 60,000 miles a year,I think alot...

In the backyard, at a table with an umbrella and a reasonably comfortable chair. I have my clipboard and my notebooks, a supply of beer (or coffee, very early in the day), and a magnificent vista. (The property is on a canyon rim in suburban San Diego, but the vista suggests Italy or Spain).
Assuming that the little woman hasn't left me a list of little chores, and that I'm not on daddy duty, I can get some work done. When I look up from the writing or reading, I'm presented with hummingbirds hovering in the foreground, or a new neighbor across the way inviting sunburn to visit her bare bottom, or (more commonly) only a voluptuous landscape of hills and folds, the sound of quail and wind-kissed palms, a trusting rabbit lounging in my shadow, lizards doing pushups on the wall.
This refreshes. And never mind the material of my study; even my survey of British Naval Administration in the 17th and 18th Century benefits from 'a moment away' like that. I return to my study as if again a young man.

Hi my buddie Guru :)))) My mind thinks everywhere I go hahaha and I mean everywhere there is no one set place even when I am in a group in a crowded room my mind in always thinking.....
But I do find when I am on vacation on a plane traveling my thoughts really take hold or on a bus coming home from work in the city that is where my thinking never ceases haha and sometime it makes me cry on a plane on a bus in my car driving by myself :))))) THINKING THINKING AND MORE THINKING :)) Happy day Guru :)))

My bed ...as I drift off to sleep I often dream, and the dream resolves the problem, gives me new ideas, etc.
Works every time.
