This is a list of movies that I find to be scary and good movies.

Psycho- This will always be my favorite horror movie. It's so creepy and has a terrific ending

Suicide Club- A very eerie Japanese movie

If you want something not too graphic but scary, I still like the original Halloween... all about the boogeyman who appears out of nowhere all the time... and a mask... however, for more realistic scariness I really like Silence of the Lambs.

The Shining, Dawn of the Dead (the original Romero version), High Tension, Shawn of the Dead (comedy), some but not all Friday the Thirteenth films, most zombie movies with the exception of the ones that allow the zombies to sprint.

the scariest and one of the least gruesome is the old black and white movie The Haunting of Hill House with Julie Harris creeps you all over the place for gruesome the original Romero Dawn of the Dead also black and white and Psycho is a chiller of monumental proportions

The original Exorcist or Halloween or Devil's Rejects always do it for me! The new movie, 1408, sucks big time....I had one minor scare....
